New Entry

Lisa and Heather are the coolest people I know, and I wasn't prompted in any way to write this. It's really how I feel.

So it has been a few hours since my last post and I just couldn´t wait any longer to post a new one. Just kidding... sorry it has been over a year since I posted last. I am a slacker, and a (add your own negative word here) for not posting in so long. Anyway I am currently in Mexico (for those of you who don´t know it is another country and it is by Texas). I am living down here for the summer and interning at a Children´s home called Niños de Mexico. I have been living with a family that doesn´t speak English, so my Spanish has gotten better, but I am a slow learner at langauge so I can just say basic things. I have been keeping busy with all differnt types of things: helping at the school, helping at church, helping at the home, going on trips, next week going to camp. But most of all God has been doing a tremendous work in my heart. This summer has been a great oppotunity to sit back and let God do some long overdue surgery on my heart. It has been difficult at times, but I wouldn´t trade it for anything. Anyway I don´t have a ton of time to type, but I just wanted to let you all know that I hadn´t died or gone missing. God Bless!

I have spent the last week trying to not be busy and keep relaxed, but it didn't quite turn out that way.  I ended up dropping summer school so I could just relax and get ready for this summer and camp teams! This week was much more busy than I ever would have imagined.  I worked quite a bit at teh church on different things.  I also had things to do that I hadn't though about like cleaning my room, and going to graduations.  But overall I do have to say that this week has been much more relaxing than it normally is during the school year.  I have gotten to sleep in in the mornings.  That has been really nice!  Anywho... now i'm just rambling so I'll be done talking!

Well... my computer is being dumb and I have to wait for my CDRW to format so since i have some time while it is doing that I figured I would update my Xanga site.  I have to give a presentatoin tommorow morning for International Youth Ministry on the Youth of Honduras.  I hope it goes well, we will see.  So to tell you about my weekend.  Saturday was the craziest day of all.  I had to get up at 7:00 cause the Jr. High choir was meeting at the church at 8:00.  So anyway i went to the church and when the kids got there we broke up into groups and I took the boys.  Getting Jr. High boys when they have first woken up to sing is nearly impossible, just to let you know!  SO anyway I tried to get the guys to sing and after about an hour we left to go to practice at another place.  That went pretty good, but i had done some stuff wrong on the video, so i had to plan to work on that after the practice.  Anyway once the practice and everything was done around 3:00 or so I stayed at the church and edited the video.  I got back to my dorm room around 4:30 to remember that I had a bachlor party for Tim that I needed to leave for at 5:00.  So I got ahold of alot of some people and got it organized and then we headed off for Springfield's Damons.  WE had a good time riding down in the car and then when we got there we got a great seats so we could watch the big screens.  We played the trivia games, but i did horrible.  After the dinner was done we went to the the theater and we watched the movie Troy.  The movie was great, if your into the whole war hero in ancient times story, but for me it was just alright.  Then it was finally done around 11:15 so we headed back to Lincoln.  Tim rode with someone else and when we were driving down the road I mentioned to the others in my car that i thought that the car on the side of the road was the one Tim was with.  I just passed if off until i got back to my room and Tim called to tell me to come back cause they were on the side of the road.  I drove all the way to Elchert and stopped on the side of the road.  When i got out the tool they needed i found out they had stopped to help someone and it wasn't them who were in trouble.  Well my tool didnt' work so we ended up just leaving.  We drove back to Lincoln and we stopped at the Kroger so time could get some drugs and then i finally arrived back at the School at 2 or so in the morning.  Then i Worked on some more stuff for the Jr. High choir until 4 in the morning when i went to bed   The next day i was really tired but the choir had to go and perform in Raymond IL, so i couldn't sleep.  Anyway i realized once we got there that the CD i had worked on until 4 in the morning i had left in my Car.  So needless to say i was a little frustrated.   So I got Sunday around 10 and I went to bed early, but there was so much racket on the floor that i could barely sleep.  Ahhh the wonderful dorm life!  Ok i'm done rambling, adios everyone!
